All's Quiet on the Midwestern Front

As you can probably tell, there's just not much going on in my neck of the woods. Nothing interesting anyway. Just work work work. Which is not an entirely a bad thing, considering it is literally 100 degrees outside and I do need these hours to make up for a very very slow first half of the year.

BUT. It's a little too much when I end up working on each of the weekends that my sister and my mother came to visit. And any progress I made on Weight Watchers is slowly starting to regress because I'm not at the gym, not going to yoga, and not watching what I eat. In short, life has come to a slow, sluggish, dreary pace. All this at a firm where morale is incredibly low this summer, and there's no sign of a light at the end of the tunnel.

All of this is to beg the rest of you to please post something funny, entertaining, witty, sarcastic, scandalous, shocking, or any combination thereof - a tall order, I know - so that I can (momentarily) escape the drudgery that is my life at the moment. And uh, if you happen to be in my boat, well, if you post, then at least we'll have the small consolation that we have each other....in the darkness...of the umpteenth floor...on a Tuesday night.
