The Return of the Jedi...Sort Of

After a long two-month-plus hiatus from this blog, I've decided that I need blogging to give meaning to my life. So I return. No, not as a Jedi-master, but some things of consequence have happened since the time of our last posting. A quick overview:

1. I have a boyfriend (who has yet to acquire a nickname for this blog), much to my dismay; and life, is very very different. Or so it feels. I'm still trying to master this juggling act, but the change is good...I think.

2. I have a case! Just mine, all mine. Well, I am being supervised, but since our last entry, I have filed a brief with my name on it and appeared in court for it. CRAZINESS, I tell you. This is madness; don't they know who they've given this to?? They're surely doomed.

3. Um, this past weekend, I had my first speaking engagement. I was the guest speaker for my high school graduation ceremony. They started a tradition to invite an alumnus of the class that graduated ten years before the current class to give the speech. It made me feel old...and oddly juvenile at the same time. On the one hand I was giving advice, only I used pop culture references instead of adages; on the other hand, my parents were in the audience with the camcorder. If that's not a throwback to eighth grade, I don't know what is.

4. I have a Blackberry. (What can I say? My firm is behind the times.) This is not such great news. I am officially chained to the office at all times. Grrrrrr. Boooooooo. I need a raise.

Okay, well, I'm sure there's more, but hopefully this is will jumpstart this blog back to life. If not, then WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! for me. Heh. More later - I'm late for a meeting. I hate meetings.
