LA weekend: an accounting

my weekend in LA was surprisingly low-key. there was only one fight, and i wasn't a party. huzzah! but for your perusal, i present an accounting of the weekend:

No. of purses purchased: 2 (both fake Fendi spy bags)

No. of celebrity sightings: 1 (Hillary Swank who was at my sister-in-law's sister's antique shop having a private viewing. She's not as tall as I thought, and her cheekbones are at an alarming angle. She was also wearing bedroom slippers on the street. And a down coat. It was 50 degrees.)

No. of times I read "My Big Book of Trucks": too many to remember. It was my nephew's book of choice. And it really has no story...it just has captions underneath pictures of trucks.

No. of guardianships proposed: 1 (my brother and sister-in-law have asked me to be the guardian of their child should something happen to them...that's heady stuff man, but I said yes).
No. of birthday parties: 2 (my nephew and my father)

No. of my sister-in-law's family members that noticed she was limping from exhaustion during her son's birthday party: 0 (i found it shocking that, knowing your child/sister/sister-in-law has M.S., NO ONE from her family helped her at all during this party...so my mom and i did.)
