Well, hopefully, my friends will think this is a good idea, and we'll share the *exciting* anecdotes of our daily lives with each other. Unfortunately, "outsiders" will have to observe the mindless blabber of these individuals. Of course, departure through the emergency exits is only a quick click away, so I will not be too nonplussed. As I say, this is primarily a means to keep in touch; any entertainment value others may derive is purely an incidental benefit. Now, on with the posting.
Well, for those of you who don't know, I have joined the thousands (millions?) of Americans who are currently unemployed. Approximately three weeks ago, I was laid off. While it's not ideal, and I certainly anticipate challenges ahead, I have to say, I am excited to have the opportunity to explore some different options for my career. Although it's cliche to say, I do believe that it happened for the best.
