Oh, silly me, to think that I could make it without coffee this morning. I have no work today, so you can enjoy the fruits of my quasi-creative labor. I promise to spare you the details of our entire weekend and try to stick to highlights. I’m sure voxqueror will have her own spin to add on our blog too should you wish for additional details.

Highlight #1: Voxqueror Up close and Personal.
Well, this is pretty self-explanatory. Voxqueror was back and it was fandamntastic! Although, I’m not sure how much she likes me now that she’s deaf in one ear because of all my yelling. Appparently, I don't know my own loudness.

Highlight #2: Reincarnation & Other Spiritual Matters.
Voxqueror and Roomie went to go see a psychic during their drunken shopping spree on Saturday. If Roomie e-mails me the pic of the crazy hats, I’ll post it here. Roomie, apparently, was a woman in a former life which is why he’s so intuitive and psychic. He’s also supposed to meet a baker named Sandy/Sally/Sarah and open a restaurant within the next four years. Looks like that law career will end up taking a back seat relatively soon! The psychic told voxqueror that she’s not allowed to give love advice until she undergoes an $80 spiritual cleansing and that with regard to work, she needs to go big or go home. I think the psychic is channeling Mr. Sunshine. And my horoscope basically told me to stop chasing after unavailable men. The spiritual world is uncannily helpful this month.

Highlight #3: The Return of Mr. Sunshine and Serenity.
The boycott is finally over and Mr. Sunshine actually made it inside to Roomie’s and my apartment. Hurray! Mr. Sunshine was so nice that he cancelled a former commitment to come hang out with us. The four of us went to see Serenity, which is an AWESOME movie. Go, run, and see the movie while you still can! Part of me wants to watch it again when I’m in D.C. this weekend with chatty and voxqueror.

All right for the sake of my financial future, I should get back to that doc review.... Have a non-crappy Monday, everyone!

You actually CAN see serenity when you visit this weekend if you want to. Depressed at the thought that Mr. Sunshine might be right and that the movie might be out of the theatres by this weekend, I searched for it, and it appears to still be around. Huzzah!

As for this weekend, I have to say I had a fabulous time. My right ear has recovered nicely from the numerous shouts Malek launched directly into it, so I'll still be able to hear her when she visits this weekend. That is good.

And now a shameful admission--I have considered the recommended $80 spiritual cleansing. Not so much because I want to mock the psyhcic or because I believe in the "science" behind it, but because her reading was so scarily accurate, maybe it might help me...oh god. I just admitted that. Shoot me now.
