Thanks to everyone who called or sent me an e-mail. I really appreciate your consideration and support. My father's surgery went very smoothly. He's recovering pretty well, but he's still very weak. Part of me feels guilty for leaving, but he will most likely be leaving the hospital in a couple of days. Yesterday before I left he was starting to walk around a little, so hopefully, my mom will be able to manage.

Now I'm exhausted and have no work to do at work. That sounds good, I know, but I would rather have something to keep me busy and not make the rounds around the office with a fake smile on my face.
