New Crush
Okay. I finally ventured out of the plaster-dust infused home that I currently inhabit in order to go to Berlitz. Yes ladies, my father has decided that it would be good for me to be fluent in French. Not that I've spoken a word of French (singing doesn't count) in 7 years, but hey, when has logic ever stopped Papa M from imposing his will...
So. I get to the consultation, and the director guy I'm supposed to meet with is really, really cute in that lanky European way. He had the most adorable accent that I couldn't quite place and we talked about many a thing having nothing to do with the French language. The hitch in this crush would have to be that if I don't sign up for lessons, I probably won't ever see him again (tear) and then if I do sign up for lessons, well, let's just say they are hellah expensive. But it's nice to know that there are attractive men still out there...living in HP was kind of like being in the wilderness for 3 years.
So now I have something new to obsess over instead of obsessing over ex-boyfriends, which we all know is one of my favorite past times. Except by the time you get to the next paragraph, I'll have broken this nifty little maxim. Watch.
Now to fill in the rest of the story (the beginning of which is on my blog, Daily Queror) regarding an ex-boyfriend nick-named Goo Goo. I was supposed to call said ex last night per his request. I called and he was at a party. And the conversation was really kind of awkward. He told me about going to some alumni event over the weekend which I had oh so brilliantly snarkily made fun of via text message before he revealed to me that he was one of the schmucks willing to pay $50 to drink bad beer and schmooz with people from high school. And then after about 7 minutes of this mindless chatter he told me that he had to go and could he call me on Saturday afternoon. Um. Hi. You told me to call you last night, and I followed those instructions only to get a peremptory conversation that was completely pointless. What the foo? What the hell is going on? UGH, I say. ugh.
